Agile development of distributed systems
Abstract
Designers of distributed systems are forced to deal with many complex issues such as high availability, scalability, security, performance and latency. We often address these issues with brute force development work, thereby creating a complex development process. As a result, applying Agile development practices in such environment becomes very challenging.
In this BOF discussion Guy Nirpaz, GigaSpaces EVP of RND will share his experience In applying Agile methodologies in development of high-end, low latency, mission critical distributed infrastructure. He will discuss his experience in applying Agile methodologies through the entire value chain from product development through successful deployment of project to end customers. We will also discuss how sharing of fine grained development schedules and technical risks helped customers to have more visibility and confident and through that be more successful with their own project.
