Come hear about upcoming releases targeted around consumer and rich internet application development. Java SE 6 "Update N" is coming early 2008 with solutions to the pain points in Java deployment; faster startup, faster installation, easier detection of the Java platform from the browser, and much more. Included is a beautiful new look and feel called "Nimbus", along with some new designer and developer tools. We'll also cover portions of SwingLabs that you can use to write rich internet apps in Swing and java. Finally, we'll discuss some of the great new features that are part of the JavaFX release, enabling more consumer-friendly content like media and rich graphics in easy and powerful ways.
