Web 2.0, Collaboration, and Social Networking
Abstract
This session gives a quick overview of Web 2.0, highlighting the social aspects of Web 2.0 as well as some technologies that are often associated with Web 2.0 such as AJAX, REST, microformats. While the technologies are important, the social aspects of Web 2.0 are much more fundamental and impactful, therefore in the following part of the session we focus on how the social aspects of Web 2.0 can be introduced and leveraged in applications such as collaboration and social networking, using real life examples for illustration.
